Book Courtney Barnett
Courtney Barnett is a singer, songwriter and guitarist from Australia, born in 1987, celebrated for her deadpan delivery and witty, rambling lyrics. Her debut EP, I've Got a Friend Called Emily Ferris, drew early notice in 2012, and her 2013 compilation The Double EP: A Sea of Split Peas gained her an international audience. At the 2015 ARIA Awards she won best female artist and breakthrough artist, plus honors for independent release and cover art, and in 2018 she took best rock album. She also received the Australian Music Prize and a Libera Award for best breakthrough artist, and she earned a BRIT Award nomination and Grammy nomination in 2016. Barnett plays raw, fuzzy, guitar-driven indie rock and clever storytelling songs. Her live shows are loose, funny and loud, with hooks that stick.
