Book Andrew Bird
Andrew Bird is a Chicago violinist, singer, songwriter and whistler known for layering live loops of violin and effect pedals into richly arranged songs. In the 1990s he played violin and sang in jazz ensembles before moving into a solo career, and his early credits include a stint with the Squirrel Nut Zippers. His albums include Weather Systems, The Mysterious Production of Eggs in 2005, Armchair Apocrypha in 2007, Noble Beast in 2009, Break It Yourself in 2012, Are You Serious in 2016 and My Finest Work Yet in 2019, followed by Inside Problems, Outside Problems and Cunningham Bird. Grammy.com lists one Grammy nomination for his work. Bird signed with Fat Possum Records in 2006, and his inventive concerts, often staged amid giant gramophone-style horns, are as visually striking as they are musical.
