Book Brandon Bass

Brandon Bass is an American former professional basketball player who carved out a twelve-season NBA career as a tough, reliable power forward. A Baton Rouge native, he starred at Capitol High School, where he ranked among the nation's top power forwards as a senior and earned spots on the Parade All-American team, the EA Sports Roundball Classic and the McDonald's All-America Game, playing alongside future stars LeBron James and Chris Paul. He stayed home to play for the LSU Tigers from 2003 to 2005, starting all 29 games as a freshman and averaging 12.8 points. The New Orleans Hornets selected him in the 2005 NBA draft, and over the next decade he suited up for the Hornets, Dallas Mavericks, Orlando Magic, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers, becoming a valued rotation player on contending teams. Bass then took his game overseas, spending three seasons in China with the Liaoning Flying Leopards before retiring as a player in 2020. He brings the perspective of a hometown hero who reached the NBA and the experience of a long, well-traveled professional career on two continents.
