Book Avant
Avant is an American R&B singer whose smooth, romantic ballads made him one of the defining voices of 2000s soul. He started writing songs at 14 and independently released his debut single "Separated" in 2000; radio picked it up and it led to a deal with Magic Johnson Music. His debut album, My Thoughts, arrived that same year on MCA Records and included a duet with Keke Wyatt on a remake of "My First Love" that reached the R&B top five. Ecstasy followed in 2002 with the hit "Makin' Good Love," and Private Room in 2003 climbed to No. 4 among Billboard's top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, powered by "Read Your Mind." His 2006 album Director went to No. 1 on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop list and opened at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. He has kept recording steadily with Avant in 2008, The Letter in 2010, Face the Music in 2013, The VIII in 2015 and Can We Fall In Love in 2020. In concert, Avant delivers silky vocals and a catalog of slow-jam favorites made for grown-and-sexy crowds.
