Book Allure
Allure is a New York R&B girl group that rose to fame in the late 1990s and now performs as a trio. Formed by friends including students from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, the group was developed by Poke of the production team Track Masters and signed to Mariah Carey's Crave Records in 1997. Their debut single "Head Over Heels," featuring Nas, reached the Billboard Hot 100, and "No Question" with LL Cool J followed ahead of the self-titled album Allure (1997). Their version of "All Cried Out" with 112 became their signature hit, climbing to No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 9 on the R&B chart, and "Last Chance," a song co-written by Carey, came next. The group later moved to MCA Records and released Sunny Days (2001), followed by Chapter III (2004) and Time's Up (2010). The founding lineup featured Akissa Mendez, Alia Davis, Linnie Belcher and Lalisha Sanders. Allure brings polished harmonies and 1990s R&B nostalgia to the stage.
