Book Pretty Ricky
Pretty Ricky is an American R&B and hip-hop group from Miami, Florida, known for slick harmonies and mid-2000s radio favorites. The group began as a family affair, built around brothers Diamond "Baby Blue" Smith and Spectacular Smith, along with cousin Corey "Slick 'Em" Mathis plus singer Marcus "Pleasure P" Cooper, who handled lead vocals while the others rapped. Signed in 1997 to Bluestar Entertainment and guided by the Smiths' father as manager, they took their name from a character on the sitcom Martin. Working with producer Jim Jonsin, they built a hometown following, and in 2002 "Flossin'" became a major hit on Miami's Power 96. Their national breakthrough came with "Grind With Me," which climbed into the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 7, followed by the hit "On the Hotline." Those songs powered their debut album Bluestars (2005) and its follow-up Late Night Special (2007). After Pleasure P left in 2007 to go solo, the group carried on with new vocalists and released Pretty Ricky (2009) and Sex Music Vol. 1: Streets N The Sheets (2011). Pretty Ricky brings throwback party energy, sing-along hooks and Miami flavor to every show.
