Book Luke James
Luke James is the New Orleans singer, songwriter and actor who has earned three Grammy nominations, including Best R&B Performance for "I Want You" and Best R&B Album for to feel love/d. Born Luke James Boyd, he started out in 2004 in Luke and Q, a R&B duo which sang backing vocals for Tyrese and signed with J Records through Tyrese's production team, the Underdogs. Working with the Underdogs, he wrote songs for Justin Bieber, Britney Spears and Chris Brown. After the duo split in 2010 he focused on a solo career, releasing the mixtapes #Luke (2011) and Whispers in the Dark (2012) before signing with producer Danja's N.A.R.S. label in a joint venture with Island Records. His self-titled debut album (2014) featured "I Want You," which was nominated at the 56th Grammy Awards. His 2017 single "Drip," later remixed with ASAP Ferg, led to his self-released second album, to feel love/d (2020), a Best R&B Album nominee at the 63rd Grammys.
