Book Kwabs
Kwabs is an English singer and songwriter, born Kwabena Sarkodee Adjepong, whose rich, soulful baritone made "Walk" an international hit. He first gained attention in 2011 on the BBC series Goldie's Band: By Royal Appointment, in which drum-and-bass artist Goldie searched for young musical talent, and was one of twelve artists chosen to perform at a special presentation at Buckingham Palace, where he sang "Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child." In 2012 his covers of Corinne Bailey Rae's "Like a Star" and James Blake's "The Wilhelm Scream" spread widely on YouTube, leading to a deal with Atlantic Records and the critically praised debut EP Wrong or Right. The more pop-focused EPs Pray for Love and Walk followed, and the single "Walk," released in October 2014, became a smash in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, topped the iTunes charts and reached gamers worldwide through the FIFA 15 soundtrack. He released "Perfect Ruin" in April 2015 and his debut album Love + War that September, while his song "Saved" featured in trailers for the BBC drama The Musketeers. Kwabs brings a commanding voice that blends soul, electronic pop and gospel warmth.
