Book Joe Thomas
Joe is a Grammy-nominated R&B singer, songwriter and producer whose hits include the Hot 100 chart-topper "Stutter" and "Thank God I Found You," his number-one collaboration with Mariah Carey and 98 Degrees. Born Joseph Lewis Thomas and raised in Opelika, Alabama, he sharpened his craft singing in church and working at a gospel record store in New Jersey, where he met producer Vincent Herbert and recorded the demo behind his 1992 PolyGram deal. His debut, Everything, arrived the following year, and a run of Jive Records albums followed: All That I Am (1997), the international success My Name Is Joe (2000), Better Days (2001) and And Then... (2003). Along the way he landed top-ten singles with "All the Things (Your Man Won't Do)," "Don't Wanna Be a Player" and "I Wanna Know," which earned him an ASCAP Award, plus "Still Not a Player" with Big Pun. In 2010 Billboard placed him 48th in a ranking of the leading R&B and hip-hop acts of the past quarter century. Working independently since leaving Jive, he scored a fourth Adult R&B number one in 2016 with "So I Can Have You Back," completing chart-toppers in three straight decades.
