Book Mariah the Scientist
Mariah the Scientist is an Atlanta R&B singer and songwriter whose 2025 singles "Burning Blue" and "Is It a Crime," featuring Kali Uchis, both reached the top 30 of the Billboard Hot 100, her first entries there as a lead artist. Born Mariah Buckles, she graduated high school a year early and studied at St. John's University in New York before Tory Lanez discovered her. After the 2018 EP To Die For, she signed with Lanez's One Umbrella imprint and RCA Records and released her debut album, Master (2019), featuring "Beetlejuice" and "Reminders." In 2020 she was booked for Coachella, Primavera Sound and Pitchfork Music Festival, and she released "Always n Forever" with Lil Baby. Ry Ry World (2021) included a guest turn from Young Thug, and the EP Buckles Laboratories Presents: The Intermission (2022) was supported by her headlining Experimental Tour. Moving to Epic Records, she released To Be Eaten Alive (2023), her first album to enter the Billboard 200, and then Hearts Sold Separately (2025), the album that carried "Burning Blue" and "Is It a Crime" into the mainstream.
