Book Tayla Parx
Tayla Parx is a singer, songwriter and entrepreneur whose writing credits have earned her two Grammy nominations for Album of the Year. Born Taylor Monét Parks in Dallas, she trained at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy from age nine, narrated Allen's stage show at Lincoln Center, and later played Little Inez Stubbs in the 2007 film Hairspray. She signed with Warner Chappell Music at 19 and scored her first hit as a writer on Fifth Harmony's "Boss." In 2018 three of her co-writes sat on the Billboard Hot 100 at once: Ariana Grande's "Thank U, Next," Panic! at the Disco's "High Hopes" and Khalid and Normani's "Love Lies." Her songs have reached charts in genres from K-pop to Latin, and Dan + Shay's "Glad You Exist" made her the fourth Black woman to write a number-one country airplay hit. As a solo artist she followed the 2017 mixtape TaylaMade with the albums We Need to Talk (2019), Coping Mechanisms (2020) and Many Moons, Many Suns (2024).
