Book Angels & Airwaves

Angels & Airwaves is an American rock band led by singer and guitarist Tom DeLonge, with David Kennedy on guitar, Ilan Rubin on drums and Matt Rubano on bass. DeLonge launched the project in 2005 and conceived it as a multimedia art venture, pairing music with films, books, comics and immersive live events. The band's sweeping, atmospheric rock draws on influences such as U2, Pink Floyd and Radiohead. Their studio albums are We Don't Need to Whisper (2006), I-Empire (2007), LOVE (2010), LOVE: Part Two (2011), The Dream Walker (2014) and Lifeforms (2021). The documentary Start the Machine (2008) chronicled the group's early years, and in 2011 the band scored and produced the science fiction feature Love, directed by William Eubank, presenting it in theaters through a multimedia event called Love Live. The Dream Walker arrived together with an animated short, Poet Anderson: The Dream Walker, with comics and a live-action film following. Angels & Airwaves concerts lean into big, anthemic choruses, layered guitars and visual production, giving fans of DeLonge's pop-punk roots a more cinematic and expansive experience while still delivering the energy that made him a household name.
