Book Vicente Fox

Vicente Fox is a businessman and statesman who led Mexico as its 62nd president between 2000 and 2006, a landmark tenure in the country's modern history. Elected on the National Action Party ticket with 43 percent of the vote, he became the first president in decades from outside the Institutional Revolutionary Party, ending a long era of one-party rule. Before politics he built his career at The Coca-Cola Company, then represented voters in Mexico's Chamber of Deputies starting in 1988 and served as Governor of Guanajuato from 1995. As president he worked closely with the United States and, together with Julio Frenk Mora, launched the Seguro Popular health program that extended coverage to millions of independent workers. His international honors include the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour, the Collar of the Order of Isabella the Catholic, the Royal Order of the Seraphim and the Giuseppe Motta Medal. Fox brings a seasoned executive's perspective to the stage, speaking on democracy, leadership, trade, Latin America and the bridge between business and government.
