Book Shaggy
Shaggy is a Jamaican-American reggae and dancehall star whose booming baritone and irresistible hooks made him one of the genre's biggest global ambassadors. He first hit in 1993 with "Oh Carolina," a dancehall remake of a Folkes Brothers ska tune that also appeared in the film Sliver, and followed with "Boombastic" in 1995 and "That Girl" with Maxi Priest. His 2000 album Hot Shot delivered the worldwide smashes "It Wasn't Me" and "Angel," and "In the Summertime" remains a party staple. His large catalog runs from Pure Pleasure (1993) and Original Doberman (1994) through Lucky Day (2002), Clothes Drop (2005), Intoxication (2007), Summer in Kingston (2011), Rise (2012), Wah Gwaan?! (2019), Christmas in the Islands (2020), Com Fly Wid Mi (2022) and Lottery (2026). He has won two Grammy Awards for Best Reggae Album, for Boombastic and for 44/876 (2018), his collaboration with Sting, from eight nominations. Jamaica made him a Commander of the Order of Distinction in 2007, and Brown University awarded him a honorary doctorate in 2022. He brings an all-hits, feel-good show built for dancing.
