Book Ron Paul
Ron Paul is an American physician, author, activist and former congressman who became a leading voice for limited government and free-market economics. Before entering politics he spent five years, from 1963 to 1968, as an Air Force flight surgeon and practiced as an obstetrician-gynecologist for two decades. Paul represented Texas in the U.S. House of Representatives across three separate stretches, first for the 22nd district in 1976 and again from 1979 to 1985, and later for the 14th district from 1997 to 2013. He ran for president three times, carrying the Libertarian banner in 1988 and seeking the Republican nomination in 2008 and 2012, drawing an enthusiastic grassroots following. A self-described constitutionalist, he is best known for his criticism of the Federal Reserve, and he founded the Foundation for Rational Economics and Education in 1976, the Campaign for Liberty and the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity. His books include A Foreign Policy of Freedom (2007), The Revolution: A Manifesto (2008), End the Fed (2009) and Liberty Defined (2011). He is a senior fellow at the Mises Institute and speaks on economics, liberty and sound money.
