Book Peter White

Peter White is an English guitarist and composer, also fluent on piano, accordion and harmonica, who became a leading name in contemporary smooth jazz. Born in Luton, he joined Al Stewart's band in 1975 at age 20 and moved to Los Angeles in 1978, beginning a two-decade partnership in which he co-wrote songs including the 1978 top-ten hit "Time Passages" and "Midnight Rocks." He also formed Shot In The Dark, which backed Stewart and released its own album in 1981. White later played guitar on Basia's Time and Tide and every studio album she made after it, joining her on world tours in 1990 and 1994, and she in turn sang "Just Another Day" on his record Caravan Of Dreams (1996). His solo career launched with Reveillez-vous (1990) and Excusez-Moi (1992) and has grown to 17 albums, including Promenade (1993), Perfect Moment (1998), Glow (2001), Confidential (2004), Good Day (2009), Here We Go (2012), Smile (2014), Groovin' (2016) and Light of Day (2025), along with popular holiday collections. Several of his singles have topped the Billboard Smooth Jazz Songs chart. White delivers elegant, melodic concerts showcasing his signature acoustic guitar tone.
