Book Peter Cetera
Peter Cetera is an American singer, songwriter and bassist whose clear, high tenor defined many of the biggest hits by the rock band Chicago, where he served as a frontman from 1967 until 1985. He sang and wrote "If You Leave Me Now," which became Chicago's first number one and brought the group its first Grammy Award, and he co-wrote and sang "Hard to Say I'm Sorry" from Chicago 16 (1982). Going solo, he reached number one twice in 1986 with "Glory of Love," the theme from The Karate Kid Part II, which earned Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for best original song, and "The Next Time I Fall," a duet with Amy Grant. His solo albums include Peter Cetera (1981), Solitude/Solitaire (1986), One More Story (1988), World Falling Down (1992), One Clear Voice (1995), Another Perfect World (2001) and You Just Gotta Love Christmas (2004). He has received 14 Grammy nominations, and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Chicago. Cetera has since retired from music, leaving a catalog of soft-rock ballads that remain staples of adult contemporary radio.
