Book Meiko

Meiko is the stage name of Melissa McAllister Sheppard, an American singer-songwriter now based in London whose intimate, melodic songs have found a home on television and radio. After moving to Los Angeles at 18, she built her name playing venues across Southern California and became a regular at Hollywood's Hotel Café. She independently released her self-titled album Meiko on September 1, 2007, and every track on it was placed in major network TV shows. That year she performed at Sundance, toured nationally with Brett Dennen and opened across the US for Mat Kearney; in 2008 she played Sundance and SXSW and joined the Hotel Café Tour with Ingrid Michaelson, Sara Bareilles, Rachael Yamagata and Cary Brothers. She signed with MySpace Records/DGC in 2008, which reissued the album with the new track "Boys with Girlfriends." Her 2012 album The Bright Side, on Fantasy Records, produced "Stuck On You," a No. 1 on Japan's combined airplay chart. Further albums include Dear You (2014), Moving Day (2016), Playing Favorites (2018), In Your Dreams (2019) and Sorry I Missed You (2022). Meiko delivers warm, charming acoustic pop performances.
