Book Kevin Devine

Kevin Devine is a Brooklyn and Staten Island songwriter and musician who has become a mainstay of the indie rock and indie folk underground. Shaped by influences from Elliott Smith, Neutral Milk Hotel and Pavement to Nirvana and Bob Dylan, he writes songs that balance political conviction with personal introspection. He first played in the band Delusion, later renamed Miracle of 86, and sharpened his solo acoustic style at open mics while studying journalism at Fordham University. His solo catalog includes Circle Gets the Square (2001), Make the Clocks Move (2003), Split the Country, Split the Street (2005), Put Your Ghost to Rest (2006), Brother's Blood (2009), Between the Concrete & Clouds (2011), Bulldozer (2013), Instigator (2016), We Are Who We've Always Been (2017) and Nothing's Real, So Nothing's Wrong (2022), along with Nevermind (2011). Along the way he recorded for Triple Crown Records and Capitol Records, played regular stints at New York's Wetlands Preserve, and in 2013 reunited with Miracle of 86 for a run of shows. Devine's concerts mix full-band indie rock with intimate solo moments, delivered with earnest passion.
