Book Dorothy
Dorothy is a Los Angeles rock band led by singer and songwriter Dorothy Martin, a powerhouse vocalist with roots in hard rock and Southern rock. Formed in 2014, the group pairs her big, bluesy voice with heavy, old-school riffs, an approach its founders compared to the stripped-down punch of AC/DC and Black Sabbath. Their breakout track "After Midnight" began life as a piano ballad before becoming a hard-hitting rock anthem, and its 2014 live video spread quickly online. That same year the band issued a self-titled EP, and Rolling Stone placed them on its list of the 50 best new artists of 2014. Dorothy's debut album ROCKISDEAD landed in 2016, followed by 28 Days in the Valley in 2018, Gifts From the Holy Ghost in 2022 and THE WAY in 2025. The current lineup features Martin alongside Jake Hayden on drums, Sam Koltun on guitar and Eliot Lorango on bass. Live, Dorothy brings swagger, volume and a classic rock-and-roll attitude, with Martin's commanding vocals front and center.
