Book Danny Brown
Danny Brown is a rapper, songwriter, actor and podcaster who was born and raised in Detroit, where his DJ father brought hip-hop and house records into his world. He started his career in 2003 and self-released mixtapes including Hot Soup in 2008 and Hawaiian Snow in 2010 with Tony Yayo, then released his debut studio album, The Hybrid, in 2010. After signing to Fool's Gold Records in 2011, he broke through with the mixtape XXX, which brought him Artist of the Year honors from Spin and the Metro Times, and the single "Grown Up" followed in 2012. His second album, Old, reached number 18 on the Billboard 200 in 2013 and produced "Dip," "25 Bucks" and "Smokin & Drinkin." Moving to Warp Records in 2016, he made Atrocity Exhibition that year and uknowhatimsayin¿ in 2019. In 2023 came SCARING THE HOES, a collaboration with JPEGMafia, and Quaranta, followed by Stardust in 2025. He has won a Libera Award for best hip-hop/rap record. Brown's yelping, high-pitched voice and wildly inventive production make his performances unpredictable and electric.
