Book Chris Liebing
Chris Liebing is a German techno DJ, producer and radio host from Gießen, and the founder of the influential label CLR. He emerged on the Frankfurt dance scene in the early 1990s, opening the Spinclub techno club in 1994 and working at Eye Q Records before launching his first label, Audio, in 1996 and CLR in 1999. His philosophy-themed album Evolution took two years to make and was hailed by CMJ as a techno record to go to war with. With Speedy J he made Collabs 3000: Metalism, which Billboard praised among the year's finest original electronic collections. In 2009 he started the weekly CLR Podcast, featuring guest mixes from top techno names including Depeche Mode's Martin Gore, which ran for 315 episodes until 2015 and gave way to his am/fm show. His 2018 album Burn Slow on Mute Records featured Gary Numan and Polly Scattergood, followed by Another Day (2021), Another Night (2022) and Evolver (2026). Liebing has headlined Berlin's Berghain, London's Fabric, Ibiza clubs Space and Amnesia and festivals such as Time Warp, delivering dark, hypnotic, relentless techno.
