Book Sander Kleinenberg
Sander Kleinenberg is a Dutch DJ, VDJ and record producer and one of the defining names of progressive house. He began playing records in a local bar in 1987 at just 15, and released his first single, "Bombay," in 1993. His 2000 track "My Lexicon" became a genre standard, prized for its hypnotic percussion and atmospheric chords, and it reached a wider audience, along with "Sacred," through Sasha's Global Underground 013: Ibiza compilation. He followed with his own Nubreed 004 mix and the 4 Seasons series on FFRR, and scored club hits with "The Fruit" and "This Is Miami." Kleinenberg's studio albums include Melk (1998) and 5K (2010). He founded and runs Little Mountain Recordings and THIS IS Recordings, and built the Everybody and This Is club-night and compilation brands. He is especially known for weaving live digital video into his performances, mixing visuals in sync with the music. Early influences such as Mantronix, Shep Pettibone and Depeche Mode still color his sets, which combine big-room energy with melodic depth and a striking audiovisual show.
