Alien Ant Farm is a rock band from Riverside, California, formed in 1996. The group released its first album, Greatest Hits, on its own in 1999 and signed to DreamWorks Records in 2000. Its second album, ANThology, arrived in 2001 and was driven by a cover of Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal," which topped the Billboard alternative songs chart that year and appeared in the film American Pie 2. Grammy.com lists one Grammy nomination for the band. Later albums include truANT in 2003, Up in the Attic in 2005, Always and Forever in 2015 and mAntras in 2024. The band played the 2009 Warped Tour and has remained a working live act well past its peak radio years.
