Book Yellowcard
Yellowcard gave pop-punk one of its most recognizable sounds by putting a violin at the front of the mix, and the Jacksonville, Florida band turned that signature into the 2003 breakthrough "Ocean Avenue." The title track and its album of the same name made the group a fixture of mid-2000s rock radio, and the follow-up singles "Only One" and "Lights and Sounds" kept the momentum going. Formed in 1997, the band built its catalog across eleven studio albums, from the early independent releases Midget Tossing, Where We Stand and One for the Kids through Paper Walls, Southern Air, Lift a Sail and a self-titled record in 2016. After a farewell run that year, the lineup of singer and guitarist Ryan Key, guitarist Ryan Mendez, bassist Josh Portman and founding violinist Sean Mackin reunited in 2022. The comeback brought the Childhood Eyes EP in 2023, the Summer Gods Tour in 2024 and a new studio album, Better Days, in 2025. Yellowcard played the Warped Tour in 2004 and returned for its 2018 edition, giving the band deep roots with the pop-punk festival crowd.
