Book Billy Talent
Billy Talent is a rock band out of Mississauga, Ontario, built since 1993 around the same four members: Benjamin Kowalewicz on vocals, Ian D'Sa on guitar, Jonathan Gallant on bass and Aaron Solowoniuk on drums. The four first played together at their high school under the name Pezz and spent years in Toronto's independent scene before renaming the group and signing with Warner Music Canada. Their self-titled debut, Billy Talent (2003), launched them into the mainstream, and Billy Talent II (2006) kept the momentum going with a 20-month touring cycle across North America and Europe. Billy Talent III (2009), Dead Silence (2012), Afraid of Heights (2016) and Crisis of Faith (2022) continued their run of urgent, melodic punk-rock records, and a greatest-hits set, Hits, arrived in 2014. The band has sold millions of records worldwide and picked up honors including a CASBY Award. Their live show is a high-voltage affair, driven by Kowalewicz's distinctive yelping vocals, D'Sa's inventive guitar riffs and a catalog of shout-along choruses that keep crowds moving from the first song to the last.
