Book Trey Parker
Trey Parker is an American animator, filmmaker, songwriter and performer, best known as co-creator of the long-running animated satire South Park. Raised in Conifer, Colorado, he met future creative partner Matt Stone while studying film and Japanese in Boulder at the University of Colorado; together they made the indie film Cannibal! The Musical (1993) before South Park premiered in 1997. The duo followed with the feature South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999), whose song "Blame Canada," written with Marc Shaiman, earned an Academy Award nomination, and the marionette action satire Team America: World Police (2004). With Robert Lopez they wrote the Broadway musical The Book of Mormon, which brought Parker four Tony Awards, including Best Book, Best Original Score and Best Direction of a Musical, plus a Grammy Award. For South Park he has won five Primetime Emmy Awards and a Peabody, and he has also collected an Annie Award and a Laurence Olivier Award. He co-founded the visual effects studio Deep Voodoo, and in 2026 he entered the Television Hall of Fame. Parker offers a rare inside look at three decades of fearless comedy and musical storytelling.
