Book The Claypool Lennon Delirium
The Claypool Lennon Delirium is an American psychedelic rock band built around two singular musicians: Primus bassist and singer Les Claypool and guitarist and singer Sean Ono Lennon of The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger. The lineup is rounded out by keyboardist and vocalist João Nogueira of Stone Giant, later of Mastodon, and drummer Paulo Baldi of Cake. Lennon has dubbed their sound "progadelic," a playful mix of vintage psychedelia and progressive rock. The project took shape in 2015 when Primus planned a year off after touring with The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger and Dinosaur Jr. Claypool invited Lennon to his guesthouse, and in six weeks the pair wrote and recorded ten songs, trading instruments and vocals well beyond bass and guitar. The result, Monolith of Phobos (2016), entered the top ten of three Billboard charts: Top Vinyl Albums, Top Tastemakers Albums and Top Alternative Albums. They followed with South of Reality (2019), preceded by the epic track "Blood and Rockets," and returned with The Great Parrot‐Ox and the Golden Egg of Empathy (2026). Live, the band delivers trippy, virtuosic and wildly fun rock shows.
