Book Squarepusher
Squarepusher is the project of Tom Jenkinson, an English electronic musician, bassist and producer from Chelmsford, Essex. He debuted with the album Feed Me Weird Things in 1996 on Rephlex, then moved to Warp Records and released Hard Normal Daddy in 1997, a landmark of drum and bass and intelligent dance music. Later albums include Go Plastic in 2001, Ultravisitor in 2004, Hello Everything in 2006, Just a Souvenir in 2008, Ufabulum in 2012, Damogen Furies in 2015 and Be Up a Hello in 2020. Jenkinson is known for blending frenetic, complex drum programming with virtuosic live bass playing, jazz fusion and acid techno. His shows pair dense electronic sets with striking visual installations, and he performs at festivals, galleries and theaters worldwide, often in complete darkness.
