Book Shlohmo

Shlohmo is the Los Angeles producer and musician Henry Laufer, a co-founder of the label WeDidIt Records and a key figure in the city's beat music scene alongside Flying Lotus, Nosaj Thing, Tokimonsta and Teebs. He issued his debut EP, Shlo-Fi, in 2009, and his first album, Bad Vibes (2011), drew strong reviews from Pitchfork and Resident Advisor for its hazy, textured blend of hip-hop rhythms, guitar and electronics. The EPs Vacation (2012) and Laid Out (2013) followed, and his remixes of Drake and the Weeknd's "Crew Love" and Banks' "Brain" reached a wide audience. In 2014 he teamed with R&B singer Jeremih on the joint EP No More, and in 2015 he released his second album, Dark Red. He also made beats for Yung Lean, Corbin and Tory Lanez, and in 2017 he served as executive producer of Corbin's debut album, Mourn. He also contributed to Joji's debut album, Ballads 1, in 2018. His third album, The End, arrived in March 2019, and his fourth, Repulsor, followed in 2025. His productions are known for their moody, atmospheric sound and heavy low end.
