Book Moon Boots
Moon Boots is the stage name of Peter Dougherty, a Brooklyn DJ and producer known for warm, melodic house music with a soulful, disco-tinged feel. He began his career in Chicago, handing demos to local DJs and sharing music online, and played keyboards in the indie band Hey Champ, which Lupe Fiasco signed to his 1st & 15th label in 2008. Returning to DJing, he joined the French Express collective in 2011 and made his debut for the label with "Off My Mind / Gopherit." Back in Brooklyn he signed with London's Anjunadeep, which released his debut album First Landing in 2017. The record reached No. 1 on the NACC Electronic Album chart, became Tower Records Japan's Record of the Month and earned heavy rotation on KCRW, where he performed live on Morning Becomes Eclectic. Since 2018 Dougherty has also toured with a full live band, bringing keys, synths and vocoder to the stage, and his catalog has grown with Bimini Road (2019), Ride Away (2023) and Phases (2026). Whether behind the decks or leading his band, Moon Boots creates a groove-rich, feel-good dance floor.
