Book Sohn
Sohn is the stage name of Christopher Michael Taylor, an English singer, songwriter and record producer from South London known for haunting vocals set against minimal, atmospheric electronic production. After four albums with his earlier project Trouble Over Tokyo, he reinvented himself as Sohn, sharing the first songs "Warnings" and "Oscillate" on SoundCloud in 2010 while living in Vienna. The London label Aesop released his debut EP The Wheel in 2012, with "The Wheel" and "Red Lines" drawing strong praise, and in 2013 he signed with 4AD, which issued the singles "Bloodflows" and "Lessons." His debut album Tremors arrived in April 2014, led by the single "Artifice," followed by Rennen in 2017, Trust in 2022 and Albadas (Dawn Songs) in 2025. Taylor is also an in-demand producer, having worked with Aquilo, Banks and Kwabs after relocating to Los Angeles in 2015, and later moving on to Sonoma. His music blends soul-inflected singing with electronic textures, and critics singled out "Bloodflows" as a powerful vocal showcase. Sohn brings a hypnotic, emotionally charged live experience that pairs a striking voice with immersive sound design.
