Book Jacob Banks
Jacob Banks is a Nigerian-born singer and songwriter raised in Birmingham, England, whose powerful voice and emotional delivery draw on soul, R&B and hip-hop. He first broke out in 2012 by taking the Birmingham regional round of MOBO UnSung, and he also won an Adidas-run music contest. His debut EP The Monologue arrived in early 2013, and its track "Worthy" was championed on BBC Radio 1 by Zane Lowe. That spring he played his first headline show at St Pancras Old Church in London and opened for Emeli Sandé on tour. He lent his voice to Wretch 32's "Doing OK" and to Chase and Status' "Alive" from Brand New Machine, supported Chase and Status on the road, and released a second EP, The Paradox, in 2015. He also featured on Seeb's "What Do You Love." Signed to Interscope Records, Banks has since built a catalog of four studio albums: Village (2018), For My Friends (2021), Lies About The War (2022) and Limerence (2026). In concert he delivers a commanding, gospel-tinged voice and deeply personal songs that hold a room completely still.
