Book Natalie Prass

Natalie Prass is an American singer-songwriter raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia, known for lush, orchestral soul-pop and a delicate, expressive voice. She started writing songs as a young child, formed an early band with Matthew E. White, and studied at Berklee College of Music before enrolling in the songwriting program at Middle Tennessee State University. After releasing the EPs Small & Sweet (2009) and Sense of Transcendence (2011), she spent time playing keyboards in Jenny Lewis's touring band. Her self-titled debut album, Natalie Prass, came out in January 2015 on Spacebomb and Columbia Records; with Trey Pollard and Matthew E. White producing, it was named a Best New Album by Pitchfork. That spring she performed on Later... with Jools Holland, and she followed with the live EP Side by Side. Her second album, The Future and the Past (2018), introduced by the single "Short Court Style," brought a funkier, more rhythmic sound, and she joined Kacey Musgraves on tour as a supporting act. Prass also appeared in the series Vinyl. Live, she pairs warm, intimate vocals with groove-rich arrangements that draw on classic soul, pop and R&B.
