Shawn Mullins is a singer-songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia, whose narrative songs mix folk rock, Americana and adult alternative. He released Better Days, Big Blue Sky and Eggshells on his own before Soul's Core in 1998, the album that carried "Lullaby" to the top of the Adult Top 40 airplay chart and to a Grammy nomination. Beneath the Velvet Sun, 9th Ward Pickin' Parlor, Honeydew, Light You Up, My Stupid Heart and Soul's Core Revival followed, ten albums in all. In 2003 he formed the supergroup Shawn Mullins and The Thorns with Matthew Sweet and Pete Droge. Grammy.com lists one nomination for his work. His 2018 release Soul's Core Revival revisited that breakthrough album with new arrangements. He was born on March 8, 1968, and also records instrumental rock.
