Book Shanice

Shanice was Grammy-nominated for "I Love Your Smile," the 1991 single that topped charts around the world and showcased her soaring coloratura soprano. The American singer, songwriter and producer won the Junior Vocalist category on Star Search at age 11 and signed with A&M Records, releasing her debut album, Discovery, at 14. It produced the top-ten R&B hits "(Baby Tell Me) Can You Dance" and "No 1/2 Steppin'." A move to Motown brought Inner Child, the home of "I Love Your Smile," and her ballad "Saving Forever for You," from the Beverly Hills, 90210 soundtrack, reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100. After 21... Ways to Grow (1994) she stepped back from her own records but stayed busy, adding her voice to records by Toni Braxton and to the Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey duet from The Prince of Egypt, and making her Broadway debut in Les Misérables in 1997. She returned in 1999 with a self-titled album on LaFace Records and later released Every Woman Dreams (2006). With hits spanning dance-pop, R&B and big ballads, and a remarkable vocal range, Shanice remains a favorite of 1990s R&B audiences.
