Book Seth Godin

Seth Godin is an American author, marketing thinker and entrepreneur whose ideas about permission, remarkable products and the courage to ship have shaped how a generation of businesses think about marketing. After working at Spinnaker Software, he launched a book-packaging business from a New York studio apartment in 1986, then co-founded Yoyodyne in 1995, a pioneer of permission-based online marketing that Yahoo acquired in 1998, after which he served as Yahoo's vice president of direct marketing. In 2006 he started Squidoo, which became a top 500 site worldwide before being sold to HubPages in 2014. His books include Permission Marketing, Purple Cow (2003), Free Prize Inside, named Forbes Business Book of the Year in 2004, All Marketers Are Liars (2005), The Dip (2007), Linchpin and We Are All Weird. In 2015 he founded the altMBA online workshop, and he hosts the podcast Akimbo. His honors include induction into the American Marketing Association's Marketing Hall of Fame and the Jack Covert Award for Contribution to the Business Book Industry, both in 2018. Godin brings provocative, story-driven talks on marketing, creativity and building work that matters.
