Book Nolan Bushnell
Nolan Bushnell is an American electrical engineer and entrepreneur who founded Atari, Inc., released the arcade hit Pong and later created the Chuck E. Cheese restaurant chain. He is counted among the founders of the video game industry. Bushnell has started a long line of companies over his career, including Axlon and uWink and, in 2012, the educational software company Brainrush. He also sits on the board of Anti-Aging Games. His honors include induction into the Video Game Hall of Fame and the Consumer Electronics Association Hall of Fame, a BAFTA Fellowship in 2009 and the Innovator of the Year honor from Nation's Restaurant News, and Newsweek included him in its list of 50 men who changed America. In 1977 he launched Pizza Time Theatre, starting with a San Jose location, as an outlet for Atari's arcade machines, a place where kids could eat pizza and play video games among animatronic animal performers; the chain was later renamed after its rat mascot, Chuck E. Cheese.
