Book Public Service Broadcasting
Public Service Broadcasting is a London band formed by J. Willgoose, Esq. in 2010, celebrated for fusing post-rock, electronics and archival audio into vivid concept albums. The lineup features Willgoose on guitar, banjo, strings, samples and electronics, Wrigglesworth on drums, piano and electronics, JFAbraham on flugelhorn, bass, drums and vibraslap, and Mr B, who creates the visuals and set design for their live shows. Starting as Willgoose's solo project with "EP One", the group took on its signature approach once Wrigglesworth joined, building songs around samples from vintage films, public information reels and documentaries. After the EP The War Room (2012), they released their debut album, Inform – Educate – Entertain (2013), then The Race for Space (2015), which they celebrated with a pair of concerts at Leicester's National Space Centre. JFAbraham became an official member in 2016, and the band has since explored new stories on Every Valley (2017), Bright Magic (2021) and The Last Flight (2024). In 2015 they won the Vanguard breakthrough award at Prog magazine's Progressive Music Awards. Their international concerts are true multimedia events, pairing tight, propulsive playing with striking archival film projected behind them.
