Book Passion Pit
Passion Pit is an indie pop band from Cambridge, Massachusetts, founded in 2007 by singer and keyboardist Michael Angelakos, who writes and records most of its music himself. Its debut Manners arrived in 2009 with the infectious single "Sleepyhead," and it was followed by Gossamer in 2012, which included "Take a Walk," Kindred in 2015 and Tremendous Sea of Love in 2017. On tour, Angelakos is joined by a band of drummers, bassists, guitarists and synth players who recreate the studio sound with electronic textures. Known for soaring falsetto vocals and euphoric, danceable arrangements, Angelakos has spoken openly about mental health, and his songs balance bright hooks with emotional depth. The band is a fixture at college campuses, club tours and music festivals, and its live shows feel like a big, joyful dance party.
