Book Mark Foster
Mark Foster is the American singer, songwriter and musician whose fame comes from creating and fronting the band Foster the People. After finishing high school in 2002 he moved to Los Angeles to chase music, settling with an uncle in Sylmar in the San Fernando Valley and spending years working day jobs such as waiting tables, painting houses and bartending while writing songs and building connections. His big break arrived in 2009 when he started Foster the People with friends Mark Pontius and Cubbie Fink. The band's debut album, Torches, arrived in 2011, followed by Supermodel in 2014, Sacred Hearts Club in 2017 and Paradise State of Mind in 2024, a run that showcased his ear for bright melodies, falsetto hooks and danceable indie-pop grooves. Foster has received three Grammy nominations across his career. As a performer he brings the infectious, sun-soaked sound of Foster the People to the stage, pairing radio-ready choruses with a frontman's easy charisma and a songwriter's perspective on the long climb from struggling newcomer to festival headliner.
