Book Marianne Williamson

Marianne Williamson is an American author, speaker and activist whose writing on spirituality, love and personal transformation has reached readers around the world. Her breakout book, A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles (1992), became a New York Times best seller, and she followed it with titles including A Woman's Worth. She first gained a following as a spiritual leader at the Church of Today, an Unity congregation in Warren, Michigan, and rose to national prominence through her many appearances on Oprah Winfrey's show, where she became known as Winfrey's spiritual advisor. Her work grows out of a long engagement with Helen Schucman's A Course in Miracles, which she began studying in 1976. Beyond the page, Williamson has built a record of service, founding the Center for Living in 1987, Project Angel Food in 1989 and the Peace Alliance in 1998. She also stepped into public life as a candidate, seeking the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020 and again in 2024. On stage she is a passionate, articulate speaker who blends spiritual ideas with a call to compassion and civic engagement.
