Book Linda Blair

Linda Blair is an American actress and animal rights advocate who became a horror icon at a young age as Regan MacNeil in The Exorcist (1973). That role brought her a Golden Globe plus an Oscar nod in the supporting actress category, and she returned to the character in Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977) and The Exorcist: Believer (2023). Blair began acting as a child on a daytime drama before landing the part that made her famous, chosen from hundreds of hopefuls. Her screen career went on to include television films and features such as Victory at Entebbe (1976), the roller-disco musical Roller Boogie (1979), the cult favorite Hell Night (1981) and The Chilling (1989). On television she hosted the reality series Scariest Places on Earth from 2000 to 2006 and appeared on Animal Planet's Pit Boss. In 2004 she founded the Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation, a nonprofit devoted to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals, and that cause has become central to her public life. At conventions and talks she pairs behind-the-scenes memories of a landmark film with a heartfelt mission.
