Book Lewis Capaldi
Lewis Capaldi is the Scottish singer and songwriter whose ballad "Someone You Loved" reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 in November 2019 and was a Song of the Year nominee at the Grammys. Born in Glasgow, he was discovered at 18 when manager Ryan Walter heard a bedroom recording he had posted online and flew from the US to see him play live. He studied music at New College Lanarkshire and released his first single, "Bruises," independently in 2017 before signing with Universal's Vertigo Berlin label. His debut album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent (2019), featured "Someone You Loved" and "Before You Go," and at the 2020 Brit Awards he won both Best New Artist and Song of the Year. His second album, Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent (2023), arrived with "Forget Me" and "Wish You the Best." That June he stepped back from touring to focus on his health after sharing his Tourette syndrome diagnosis, and he returned in June 2025 with a surprise set at Glastonbury Festival and the comeback single "Survive." He holds two Grammy nominations.
