Book Jim Rogers

Jim Rogers is an American investor, author and financial commentator, based in Singapore, who co-founded the Quantum Fund with George Soros and created the Rogers International Commodity Index. He started on Wall Street in 1964 at Dominick & Dominick, served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968, and in 1970 went to work at Arnhold and S. Bleichroder, the firm where he met Soros. In 1973 the two left to launch the Quantum Fund, which became a pioneer of truly global investing and delivered extraordinary returns through 1980. Rogers then stepped away from day-to-day money management, taught finance as a guest professor at Columbia Business School, and in 1989 and 1990 hosted The Dreyfus Roundtable on WCBS and The Profit Motive with Jim Rogers on FNN. Between 1990 and 1992 he rode a motorcycle across six continents, a journey that earned a place in the Guinness Book of World Records and became his bestselling book Investment Biker. In 1998 he founded the Rogers International Commodity Index. He is chairman of Beeland Interests. Rogers brings an adventurer's eye and decades of global market insight to every talk.
