Book Chris Botti

Chris Botti won the Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental Album with Impressions, one of five Grammy nominations that also include Italia and three for the live album Chris Botti in Boston, and four of his albums have reached number one on Billboard's jazz albums chart. The trumpeter and composer left Indiana University in his senior year to tour briefly with Buddy Rich and Frank Sinatra, then settled in New York in 1985 for session work. From 1990 he spent ten years on the road and in the studio with Paul Simon, including Simon's 1991 Central Park concert, and he has also worked with Joni Mitchell, Aretha Franklin and Sting. After early solo albums such as First Wish, Midnight Without You and Slowing Down the World, his 2001 release Night Sessions established his blend of jazz and pop. He followed with A Thousand Kisses Deep, When I Fall in Love, To Love Again: The Duets, Italia and Impressions, and returned in 2023 with Vol. 1 on Blue Note Records. Botti performs with a polished band and guest vocalists, playing lyrical ballads and standards with a warm, singing trumpet tone.
