Book Kenny G
Kenny G is the Seattle-born saxophonist, composer and producer whose 1992 album Breathless outsold every other instrumental album in history, and whose 17 Grammy nominations include a win for "Forever in Love." He took up the saxophone at ten after seeing a performance on The Ed Sullivan Show, and at seventeen he was already playing in Barry White's Love Unlimited Orchestra. After joining the Jeff Lorber Fusion in 1980, he signed with Arista Records in 1982 and released his self-titled debut. Duotones (1986) and its single "Songbird" launched his most commercially successful era, and Silhouette, Breathless and Miracles: The Holiday Album kept the momentum going. He contributed to the soundtrack of The Bodyguard and has recorded with Frank Sinatra and Andrea Bocelli. His melody "Going Home" is played widely in public spaces across China. Later albums range from Paradise and Brazilian Nights to New Standards (2021) and Innocence (2023). He also holds a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and a degree in accounting from the University of Washington.
