Chk Chk Chk, written !!! and often shortened to Chk Chk Chk, is a dance-punk group out of Sacramento, California, started in 1996 by singer Nic Offer. The group built a reputation on albums such as Louden Up Now in 2004, Myth Takes in 2007 on Warp Records and Shake the Shudder in 2017, which fuse punk energy, funk basslines and disco rhythms. The core lineup features guitarist Mario Andreoni, multi-instrumentalist Dan Gorman, bassist Rafael Cohen, drummer Chris Egan and vocalist Meah Pace beside Offer. Known for frenetic, sweat-soaked live sets that turn clubs and festivals into dance parties, Chk Chk Chk has spent decades as a cult favorite in the indie dance world, with a name that members have said is pronounced as any three identical sounds you like.
