Book Caron Butler

Caron Butler is an American basketball coach and former two-time NBA All-Star who now serves as an assistant coach for the Miami Heat. At the University of Connecticut he led the Huskies in scoring and rebounding as a freshman, then won gold with the U.S. team at the 2001 FIBA World Championship for Young Men. As a sophomore he averaged 20.3 points, carried UConn to Big East regular-season and tournament titles, earned Big East tournament MVP and shared Big East Player of the Year in 2002, was a second-team All-American, and scored 32 points in an Elite Eight battle with eventual champion Maryland. Miami drafted him 10th overall in 2002, and he started all 78 games he played as a rookie. During 14 NBA seasons he suited up for the Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, Washington Wizards, Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Detroit Pistons and Sacramento Kings, earning his two All-Star selections along the way. Butler brings a veteran's perspective on perseverance, teamwork and leadership, plus the insight of a coach who has seen the game from every angle on the court and the bench.
