Book Blood Orange
Blood Orange is the project of Devonté Hynes, a London-born singer, songwriter, producer, composer and director now based in New York. He played guitar and synth in the band Test Icicles from 2004 to 2006, released two albums as Lightspeed Champion, then turned to Blood Orange, which has produced records such as Coastal Grooves, Cupid Deluxe, Freetown Sound, Negro Swan and, in 2025, Essex Honey. Hynes has written for and with artists including Solange, Sky Ferreira and Carly Rae Jepsen, and he composed the score for the 2019 film Queen & Slim. His honors include a 2024 Latin Grammy Award for Best Alternative Song. On stage he moves between guitar, keys and vocals with a small band, bringing funk, R&B and art-pop together in sets that feel more like a collaboration than a solo performance.
